The Young Environmentalist Challenge is an interschool initiative by RIC that inspires students to explore environmental issues and develop innovative, sustainable solutions. Through research, presentations and hands-on projects, participants are encouraged to think critically about climate change, conservation and sustainability while building awareness of their role in protecting the environment. The challenge aims to cultivate a generation of environmentally conscious young leaders equipped with the knowledge and passion to drive positive change in their communities.
The 2026 edition of the Young Environmentalists’ Challenge continues to inspire young minds to engage with environmental challenges and explore innovative approaches to sustainability. Through research, presentations and hands-on projects, participants are encouraged to develop practical ideas while strengthening their awareness of climate change, conservation and environmental responsibility.

The 2025 edition of the Young Environmentalists’ Challenge provided school students with a platform to explore important environmental issues and think creatively about sustainable solutions.
