The RIC Employability Skills Awards is an annual awards ceremony celebrating exceptional students from the Royal Institute Campus who demonstrate excellence beyond academics. The initiative recognises students who showcase outstanding leadership, innovation, professionalism, teamwork, service, communication and employability skills throughout their RIC journey.
With 11 award categories, the Awards provide a platform to recognise emerging talent across areas including student leadership, teamwork, debating, entrepreneurship, content creation, student ambassadorship, peer mentoring and employability skills across the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, Management, Finance and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Department of Psychology.
More importantly, the Awards serve as a bridge between RIC students and the world of industry. By bringing industry leaders and organisations into the recognition and selection process, the initiative creates meaningful opportunities for employers to identify, engage with and build relationships with high-potential students and future graduates.
Industry partners can play an active role beyond sponsorship by joining judging panels, engaging with shortlisted candidates, conducting leadership and career-readiness initiatives, supporting mentorship opportunities and strengthening their employer presence within the RIC community. Award Partners will also receive an invitation to participate in the RIC Career Fair, providing an extended platform to connect with emerging talent.
The Awards are designed to make recognition meaningful by creating a direct pathway from student achievement to professional opportunities. Award winners will be eligible for cash prizes and internship opportunities offered by participating partner companies, providing students with tangible recognition as well as valuable exposure to the professional world.
Held annually at the RIC Auditorium, the Employability Skills Awards is more than a celebration of student achievement. It is a platform where talent meets industry, recognition creates opportunity, and students are connected to the professional world beyond university.
