Originally established as a computing initiative by the British Government in 1966, NCC Education is a UK awarding body and a global provider of education. Accredited by Ofqual, NCC Education offers internationally recognised qualifications through a network of over 200 Accredited Partner Centres in more than 60 countries. With direct contracts with over 210 universities and affiliations with several others, NCC provides more than 4,000 degree pathways across various disciplines. At RIC, NCC Education serves as an awarding body for the International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES), an Ofqual and QIW-regulated qualification designed to prepare students for undergraduate degree programmes after O/Ls. This foundation programme equips students with essential academic and English language skills, serving as a direct pathway to globally recognised degree programmes.

In the realm of international education, RIC and Deakin University, Australia have joined forces to provide a transformative pathway programme in 2012, catering to the aspirations of Sri Lankan students seeking world-class education with Australian teaching experience. One of the key advantages of this pathway programme is the opportunity for students to experience Australian teaching with the newly introduced co-teaching initiative. The Royal Institute Campus (RIC) is a leading Sri Lankan private higher education institution recognized for academic excellence and global partnerships. In 2021, RIC received Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) approval to offer its RIC-affiliated undergraduate degree, the Bachelor of Business (Hons) in International Economics and Finance, under the Universities Act No. 16 of 1978.
